Higher reliability: Best low-end Plasma TV 2013?
LG 60PN6500 60-Inch Plasma HDTV is probably the best bang for the buck TV to watch movies and TV shows. This Plasma HDTV features 1080p resolution, 600Hz Max Sub-Field Driving, a Triple XD Engine and Picture Wizard II for optimal image clarity.
LG 60PN6500 60-Inch Plasma HDTV is a basic and reliable HDTV with no frills.
Picture quality for movies
The picture is sharp and Blu-ray shows a crisp picture. The standard definition DVDs are very upscaled.
Black levels are just average, which is to be expected with cheaper plasma televisions. It needs deeper black levels even when LG increased picture quality during the last year. For this reason, it is probably not the best option to play a video game on.
It streams Netflix at 720p without any problems, and when sitting 10 feet away the screen seems the perfect size TV at this distance.
As for glares, windows on the side or behind the TV do not create much of a problem and artificial lighting does not cause glare issues. The screen works well enough in the daytime with shades drawn closed, and like most of Plasma TVs, it shows better in a darkened room.
Although LG 60PN6500 Plasma HDTV does not have the absolute best image that you can experience on an 1080p TV, it is very reliable and high quality.
Easy calibration
This Plasma TV is not ready to watch out of the box at all, therefore needs to do some basic research to get the best image. It has a decent picture using its factory pre-set Standard mode, however, it can be improved by using the customizable Expert-1 or Expert-2 modes. In conclusion, it is not difficult to calibrate.
This is the TV we got. Killer deal and looks great. You can find the optimal settings online. LG 60PN6500 http://t.co/DYfjW0opyb

The onscreen menu is easy to set up and use since LG makes their own panels, so the company does not play lottery, which is always a plus.
Basic connections
An USB drive can be plugged into LG 60PN6500 Plasma HDTV, but it can only play music files such as MP3s and image files. To play video or music files, Blu-ray players offer a wide variety of file formats for enjoying digital media on this Plasma TV.
A minor issue with this television is a relative lack of HDMI inputs. However, it can be easily resolved with an economical expansion gadget.
Decent price
This LG Plasma HDTV is the most reasonably priced big-screen plus 50-inch plasma you can get in the market, designed for people looking for a superior image at a decent price point.
The image quality is on par with the Samsung/Panasonic for a third of the price, which is perfect if you do not have a big budget and do not want to take risks.
